What this page covers
Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. This site doesn't set any, but it does use two local storage entries with the same kind of purpose, so this policy covers both.
Everything we store is essential. Nothing is optional.
watchtower_cookie_notice remembers that you saw the notice on this page so it doesn't reappear on every visit. watchtower_waitlist keeps a local copy of an email you submit to the waitlist, as a safety net if the signup request fails partway. Neither is used for analytics, advertising, or tracking, and there is no third entry that is. That's also why the notice you see on your first visit is informational rather than an Accept/Decline choice: under the EU ePrivacy Directive and the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173), storage that's strictly necessary for the service you asked for doesn't require that kind of consent gate, and offering a Decline button with nothing behind it would be misleading.
Third-party processing
Submitting the waitlist form sends your email to a Google Apps Script endpoint so we can record the signup. That request is subject to Google's own privacy practices. We don't load any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies or pixels on this site, from Google or anyone else.
Legal basis for processing
We rely on your consent and on taking the steps you asked for when you submit the waitlist form (GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and (b); Data Privacy Act of 2012 Section 12(a) and (b)), and on our legitimate interest in keeping the site itself working (GDPR Article 6(1)(f); Data Privacy Act of 2012 Section 12(f)).
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, or export your data, object to or restrict its processing, and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 you have the same rights to be informed, access, correct, and erase or block your data, to object, to data portability, to damages, and to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph). To exercise any of these for the email you submitted, contact us below and we'll act on it.
How long we keep it
The local storage entries stay in your browser until you clear them or your browser does. Your waitlist email is kept so we can notify you when Watchtower is ready, and deleted on request at any time.
Managing or clearing storage
Since nothing here is optional, there's no toggle to turn part of it off. You can clear cookies and local storage for this site at any time from your browser settings, which resets everything described above.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if what we store changes. Check back occasionally if you want to stay current.
